Five Guys Burgers and Fries has been accused of being unhealthy due to their low calorie and low fat recipes. The food is served on grilled hot dog buns with lettuce and tomato, for a total of two thousand calories. For comparison, a Big Mac (which is a bit less than a burger) has about five thousand calories. The problem with this "diet" is that it doesn't work! Besides counting calories, you will also want to get more exercise, since most people who are in the average overweight range have sedentary lives. Even if you think you can walk or bike to work or catch the bus or train a few blocks, you may not be walking enough to get your exercise daily. Try to find time every day for at least a 20 minute workout. Once you start seeing the difference in your energy levels and your health, you may not even want to go back to the "calorie free" life style!

Another thing that you will need to keep in mind when you are thinking about adopting this diet is that you will need to know what you are planning to do to get your daily recommended protein requirements. While you can get the required protein from lean meat like fish and beef, dairy products such as cheese, and beans, these are not the only sources of protein. Eggs are also great, as are nuts and soy products. Therefore, you will need to learn how to eat a wide variety of foods, in order to make sure you are getting all of the nutrients your body needs. This is probably one of the biggest reasons that people who are on this diet are usually extremely healthy, because they have access to all of the food groups!

The good news is that if you stick with the Five Guys Calories, it will still be low calorie and will taste great! You don't want to go through all the effort and motivation to lose weight only to give up because the diet is too difficult. You should be able to keep up this plan for about three months without giving up and reaching your goals. This diet will require some discipline, but the rewards will be well worth it. You will be able to look and feel great, you will be healthier, and you will have a lot more confidence.
